Massimo Luongo called up to end four-year Socceroos absence

  • Ipswich midfielder rewarded for good form in Championship
  • Australia to play England and New Zealand in London

Midfielder Massimo Luongo will return to the Socceroos fold for the first time in more than four years after being named in Graham Arnold’s squad to face England and New Zealand.

Luongo, once a Socceroos regular and the 2015 Asian Cup player of the tournament, was last selected for the World Cup qualifier against Nepal in October 2019, but withdrew due to injury.
