Erik ten Hag fumes after Manchester United ‘lose control’ to slip up at Spurs

  • United let 2-0 half-time lead slip to end up with a point
  • Tiredness ‘cannot be an excuse’ says United manager

Erik ten Hag accused some of his players of failing to give 100% and refused to use tiredness as an excuse after Manchester United squandered a commanding position during their 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur last night.

United had threatened to increase the pressure on the Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, during a one-sided first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and looked on course to claim a vital win in the race for the top four after taking a 2-0 lead through goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
