Eintracht fans defy ban and clash with police in Naples before Champions League fixture – video

The streets of Naples resembled a war zone on Wednesday as violent clashes broke out between Eintracht Frankfurt fans and local police as Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt FC geared up for the hotly anticipated second leg of their Champions League last-16 game.  Eintracht fans had been banned from the game following unrest during the first leg of the match. Hundreds of ticketless Eintracht fans nevertheless arrived in the city, clashing with local police. Police in riot gear used teargas to disperse the fans who threw flares, chairs and other projectiles at the officers.
