Everton agree deal to take Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United

  • Van de Beek could be Frank Lampard’s first Everton signing
  • Crystal Palace also trying to persuade midfielder to come

Everton have an agreement in place with Manchester United to take Donny van de Beek on loan as potentially the first signing of the Frank Lampard era, with the midfielder due to decide whether he prefers a move to Goodison Park or Crystal Palace.

Everton are ready to pay Van de Beek’s full salary until the end of the season after he was identified by Lampard – who is expected to be confirmed as the club’s manager on Sunday – as a priority target.
