Manchester City poised as Allegri says Ronaldo wants to leave Juventus

• City expected to make formal bid for 36-year-old

Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has told Juventus he wants to leave, with Manchester City still in talks over a fee for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

City have yet to table a formal bid for the 36-year-old but the Juventus coach’s comments ahead of their trip to face Empoli in Serie A on Saturday gave an indication that there is an expectation the deal will now be done.
