Leicester reveal plans to increase King Power capacity by 25% to 40,000

  • Aim is to make stadium Premier League’s 10th-biggest
  • Plan also involves building hotel and residential space

Leicester have announced plans to expand the King Power Stadium as part of ambitious designs to improve their home. The FA Cup holders will confirm plans next month before a public consultation, with the aim being to add 8,000 seats to the East Stand to take the capacity to 40,000.

If the planning is successful, the stadium would become the 10th-largest among current Premier League sides.
