Liverpool’s thumping win at Leicester extinguished any fears that their mid-season trip to Qatar might disrupt their march towards the title, while Wolves’ comeback win over 10-man Manchester City leaves Jürgen Klopp’s side 14 points clear of the defending champions. The gap to the chasing pack might be growing, but Klopp will ensure his team keep their focus; after an FA Cup third-round derby next week, Liverpool face Spurs, United and Wolves again in the league.
