Crystal Palace v Aston Villa: match preview

Crystal Palace have not been given long to bask in last weekend’s victory at Manchester United. Colchester United brought them down to earth with a resounding bump in midweek and now, in the type of game they must dread, their ability to open up unfancied teams at Selhurst Park will be tested again. Aston Villa led and held out for some time at Spurs in their previous away match and, with Tyrone Mings leading their back-line, will target this as a chance to build on that impressive win over Everton.
