Italian Roma fan pleads guilty to attack on Liverpool supporter

Sean Cox suffered severe head injuries in assault outside Anfield in 2018

An Italian national has pleaded guilty to assaulting Liverpool FC supporter Sean Cox outside Anfield Stadium.

Father-of-three Cox, 53, from Dunboyne in Co Meath, Ireland, suffered catastrophic head injuries in the attack, which took place before the Champions League semi-final first-leg tie between Liverpool and AS Roma on 24 April last year.
