Tony Pulis appointed Middlesbrough manager and excited by ‘real challenge’

• Pulis confirmed as successor to Garry Monk by Championship club
• Former West Brom manager will be in stands for Boxing Day game

Tony Pulis has said he is excited by the “real challenge” at Middlesbrough after being appointed as manager following the sacking of Garry Monk.

Pulis will be in the stands for the Boxing Day game at home to Bolton and is set to lead the team for the first time on Saturday at home to Aston Villa.
