• Milan sack Montella with club seventh in Serie A
• Gattuso promoted from role with Milan’s youth team

Vincenzo Montella has been dismissed as Milan manager after a disappointing start to the season which has seen the Rossoneri slip to seventh place in Serie A.

Gennaro Gattuso, who made over 400 appearances for the club as a player and has been head coach of the club’s youth team, has been appointed as new first-team coach.
